II. CATEGORIES AND PURPOSES OF DATA PROCESSING
2.1. Request for Quotation and Contact
The legal basis for processing the data provided during a quotation request on the website (www.betiko.hu) (Name, Email, Phone number) is the performance of steps prior to entering into a contract.
If you request an interior design site survey, we also process the property location and photographs taken on site on the same legal basis.
2.2. Contract Performance and Warranty for SMEs
Under Hungarian regulations effective from March 1, 2026, certain SMEs (micro- and small enterprises) may qualify as consumers with regard to warranty rights in specific cases. Betiko Kft. processes the data of such partners for the purpose of fulfilling mandatory warranty and guarantee obligations.
2.3. Digital and AI-Based Design
When using generative AI software during the interior design process, the Company guarantees that clients’ personal data (e.g., faces appearing in photographs) are anonymized prior to AI processing, or that only closed-system models are used which do not utilize the data for model training.
2.4. Duration of Data Processing
The Company retains data for the following periods:
- Contact and quotation requests: If no contract is concluded, data are deleted one (1) year after the last contact.
- Contractual data: Retained for five (5) years following contract performance (general civil law limitation period) for the purpose of resolving potential legal disputes.
- Accounting documents (Invoicing): In accordance with the Hungarian Accounting Act, invoices and the personal data contained therein must be retained for eight (8) years.
- Marketing communications (Newsletter): Processed until consent is withdrawn (unsubscribe).
- AI-based source data (Photographs): Retained for two (2) years after project completion, or until the client requests deletion (unless separate consent has been given).
III. COOKIES AND ONLINE PRESENCE
In compliance with 2026 requirements, upon visiting the website we apply an active consent-based (opt-in) cookie management panel.
- Analytics: Google Analytics (with IP anonymization).
- Social Media: During communication via Facebook/Messenger, data may also pass through Meta platforms, and the privacy notice of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. shall apply.

To protect technical data, the Company applies modern endpoint protection (EDR) and multi-factor authentication (MFA) in accordance with 2026 cybersecurity expectations.
